Office of Small Business Advocacy

Whether you are a small business owner in Alabama or taking the first steps to start your new business, Alabama has the answers you need to be successful. From learning about financial assistance and help with regulatory issues to discovering sources available to help your business grow, the Alabama Development Office can provide you with the tools to help you get started.

Working closely with the Alabama Small Business Development Center Network, the agency's Small Business Office is working to coordinate with the consortium's ten Small Business Development Centers at universities throughout the state. The department also participates in joint efforts with ADECA's Office of Minority Business Enterprise, as well as other groups around the state involved in the development of small business.
